April 10-14
T-33 days until summer vacation!

What is your child learning this week?
Its time to push for the finish! This week in Math we will begin our unit on 2-D shapes and partitioning. Our Social Studies hero of the week will be George Washington Carver. Students will learn about his life and his impact on our society today. We will start up our narrative writing unit with Spring Break writing. As a reminder, students will be graded on all three writing types during our final quarter (narrative, informative, and opinion). During our reading time I will continue to pull reading groups daily. We will focus primarily on reading comprehension and fluency through cloze reading passages. At the end of this quarter, students should be reading on a level H.
